Hobie North Adriatic Cup (Nation Regatta for Italian and Austrian Championship)

Hobie North Adriatic Cup 2024 1

The second edition of the Hobie North Adriatic Cup ended on June 2nd. Despite the uncertain and, at times, unfavourable weather, five races were held, which confirmed the event’s validity as a national regatta for Italy and as a national championship for Austria.

The Italian crew of Gini-Orsolini won the event, second place went to the Austrian crew Kitzmuller-Strumpf, who confirmed themselves as Austrian champions, and the lowest step of the podium went to the Sardinians Marinoni-Onnis. First female crew: Paduano – Lazzaretto First Master crew: Stoits – Stoits Gierlinger. The varied origins of the crews on the podium denote the strong international connotation of this event, which, despite only being in its second edition, is growing and gives hope for the editions of the coming years. In addition, the skilful organisation on the ground of the 337 fleet and the San Marco sports club kept morale high even in the rainy moments.
