Conclusion of the 2024 Adriatic Hobie Cat Cup and Italian National Hobie Regatta.
This past weekend marked the conclusion of the 2024 National Italian Hobie Regatta, which also served as the final stage of the Adriatic Hobie Cat Cup (AHCC) 2024. Celebrating its 17th edition this year, the championship has once again brought together some of the finest Hobie sailors for a thrilling season.
Despite the calm conditions that prevented three race days (only one was recovered according to AHCC regulations), the championship standings reflected not only the skills but also the consistency of participants across the series. Under the AHCC rules, any absence from a race day results in a DNC (Did Not Compete) penalty, adding 24 points to the crew’s score.
The AHCC format allows for one discard per three completed series, and the 2024 racing days were as follows: May 12, July 7, August 4, and September 14–15.
This year’s series demonstrated the importance of commitment and tactical prowess in variable conditions, and we look forward to even greater competition in future editions.
