The Royal Chanel Islands Yacht Club Cadet of the Year Award was presented last Saturday at the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club.
There were two recipients of the award for 2024, Lottie Ohlsson and Ava Martin.
In addition to overall performance and results for the year, the award recognises sailing skills, attendance, teamwork, a good attitude, and general helpfulness.
Footnote: The ‘Terty-or-less’ solid silver yacht trophy presented was donated to the Club by the late Dr John Fogarty, a highly respected and valued member of long-standing, for the encouragement and promotion of the Club’s Youth sailing activities. The trophy was designed and fabricated by the late Mr Gordon Jones and first presented in 1989.
