Pescara Fleet 808 Championship
Svagamente ASD
19th Edition
With the cancellation of the final scheduled day of racing, the wonderful 2026 championship for Pescara’s Fleet 808—the Adriatic Hobie Cat Cup (AHCC), now in its nineteenth year—has concluded. A total of 13 races were held over four regatta days spanning the spring and summer (May to September), with 21 Hobie 16 crews appearing in the overall standings.
The AHCC rules, as established during the fleet meeting, allow for one discard for every three races held, a measure designed to tighten the point standings.
The winners of the 2026 edition are Commodore Sandro Marino and his crew member Maria Arzeni; taking second place is Marcello Cozzolino, sailing with various crew members over the course of the season: Mattia Ciattoni, Marco De Felice, and Walter Pedrini. The pair of Marco Pelagatti and Francesco Laureti finished third.
With this victory, Commodore Sandro brings his total number of AHCC titles to eight; he is followed in the Adriatic Hobie Cat Cup’s roll of honour by Marcello Cozzolino with five titles and Carlo Metadow with two.
See you in 2027 for the twentieth edition.
