What an incredible championship celebrating racing, friendship and the true Hobie Way of Life!
This year, the French Hobie Cat Nationals brought together the entire Hobie family for unforgettable days on and off the water at the Etang de Berres, close to Marseille in the South of France.
3 competing classes:
• 22 Hobie Cat 16
• 12 Hobie Cat 14
• 5 Open Space catamarans over 16 feet
The first two days challenged sailors with very light winds, demanding patience, focus and tactical sailing. Despite the tricky conditions, the race committee successfully completed 3 races per day — keeping the competition exciting for everyone!
As we know Hobie events are always about more than just purely racing.
The first evening featured a big sailors dinner full of laughs, stories and shared memories.
The second evening turned into an unforgettable dance party where sailors from every class celebrated together late into the night.
This is what makes the Hobie community so special:
