Dear Competitors,
Following the publication of the 2026 HCME Pre-Event Reminders, we have received a number of questions regarding trampolines.
The IHCA would like to clarify the current position.
Competitors are reminded that all boats competing in the 2026 Hobie Multi-Europeans must comply with the IHCA Class Rules, including the requirement to use a class legal trampoline.
If you are unsure whether your trampoline is class legal, please contact the IHCA Rules Committee at rules@hobieclass.com. If possible, include photographs of your trampoline to help us confirm its compliance.
Class legal trampolines are currently available for both Hobie 14 and Hobie 16. If your boat requires a replacement trampoline, it is important that you place your order as soon as possible through your Hobie Cat dealer.
For competitors attending the championship, “Yes Service” Hobie dealer (contact@yeservices.fr OR Yeservices@orange.fr) will also be present at the event and may be able to assist with trampoline orders and supply.
Our objective is to help every competitor arrive at the championship with a class legal boat, avoiding any issues during registration or equipment inspection.
We therefore encourage all competitors who have any questions or concerns to contact the Rules Committee as early as possible.
